We are honored to support you as you take the next step toward a career in the beauty trades. Apprenticeship is a meaningful pathway that allows you to learn, grow, and build real-world skills while working alongside experienced professionals in the industry.
Through the Atarashii Apprentice Program, approved apprentices complete structured on-the-job training and related instruction designed to prepare them for success in their chosen licensed profession. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship and all applicable state requirements, candidates may be eligible to sit for the licensing exam in their state.
To begin, select your state and choose the apprenticeship position you would like to apply for. After your application is submitted, it will be reviewed by our Apprentice Approval Committee. If your application is approved, you will be added to our candidate pool, where Atarashii Employer Training Partners may invite you to interview for available apprenticeship opportunities.
Your approved application will remain active in the candidate pool for one year. During that time, Employer Training Partners may review your information and reach out if they feel you may be a good fit for their business and training environment.
If you have any questions or need assistance, we are here to help. Please contact us at applicants@atarashii.org to connect with our Apprentice Candidate Liaison.
We are excited to be part of your journey and look forward to helping you take this important step toward your future career.
The Atarashii Apprentice Program is a U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship sponsor for the beauty trades. We help salons, shops, and spas train paid apprentices through a structured, licensure-aligned pathway that combines on-the-job learning, related instruction, and ongoing program support.
