Welcome to the Atarashii Apprentice Program

We are honored to support you as you take the next step toward a career in the beauty trades. Apprenticeship is a meaningful pathway that allows you to learn, grow, and build real-world skills while working alongside experienced professionals in the industry.

Through the Atarashii Apprentice Program, approved apprentices complete structured on-the-job training and related instruction designed to prepare them for success in their chosen licensed profession. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship and all applicable state requirements, candidates may be eligible to sit for the licensing exam in their state.

To begin, select your state and choose the apprenticeship position you would like to apply for. After your application is submitted, it will be reviewed by our Apprentice Approval Committee. If your application is approved, you will be added to our candidate pool, where Atarashii Employer Training Partners may invite you to interview for available apprenticeship opportunities.

Your approved application will remain active in the candidate pool for one year. During that time, Employer Training Partners may review your information and reach out if they feel you may be a good fit for their business and training environment.

If you have any questions or need assistance, we are here to help. Please contact us at applicants@atarashii.org to connect with our Apprentice Candidate Liaison.

We are excited to be part of your journey and look forward to helping you take this important step toward your future career.

An apprenticeship through Southeast Community College offers the best of both worlds: you'll earn a paycheck while gaining the hands-on experience and industry credentials employers are looking for. It's a proven pathway that prepares you for career success while providing financial stability along the way.

You're not just studying for a career—you're already working in it. Graduate with 2-4 years of professional experience while your peers are still job hunting.

Your employer typically covers tuition and fees, meaning you graduate with $0 debt while earning a paycheck. Compare that to the average $30,000 in student loans.

Our apprenticeship programs are FREE! Use the form below to find out more information about our training and a job placement program as an Accounting Technician, Customer Service Specialist, Employment Specialist, or Youth Development Specialist.

These apprenticeship programs include 144 hours of PAID classroom instruction and require 2,000 hours of on-the-job training with an employer partner. Completion of an apprenticeship program provides a Department of Labor recognized credential and increased economic independence.

Provide essential support in entry-level accounting positions. Technicians process a variety of daily accounting transactions like payables, coding and entry, payment processing, receivable invoicing, receipting payments, completing deposits, reconciling accounts, and bank statements. All with a level of detail needed to maintain accurate accounting records.
