NDSCS Apprenticeship programs provide opportunities for workers seeking high-skilled jobs with excellent salaries, and for employers to build a highly qualified workforce.

Related Study Apprenticeship refers to the technical instruction or bookwork that NDSCS provides to apprentices of employers who already have an existing Apprenticeship program. These apprenticeships may be industry-recognized or approved by the US Department of Labor.

Apprenticeship is an industry-driven, high-quality career pathway where employers can develop and prepare their future workforce. Individuals can obtain paid work experience, classroom instruction, and a portable, nationally recognized credential.

Welcome to the Atarashii Apprentice Program

We are honored to support you as you take the next step toward a career in the beauty trades. Apprenticeship is a meaningful pathway that allows you to learn, grow, and build real-world skills while working alongside experienced professionals in the industry.

Through the Atarashii Apprentice Program, approved apprentices complete structured on-the-job training and related instruction designed to prepare them for success in their chosen licensed profession. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship and all applicable state requirements, candidates may be eligible to sit for the licensing exam in their state.

To begin, select your state and choose the apprenticeship position you would like to apply for. After your application is submitted, it will be reviewed by our Apprentice Approval Committee. If your application is approved, you will be added to our candidate pool, where Atarashii Employer Training Partners may invite you to interview for available apprenticeship opportunities.

Your approved application will remain active in the candidate pool for one year. During that time, Employer Training Partners may review your information and reach out if they feel you may be a good fit for their business and training environment.

If you have any questions or need assistance, we are here to help. Please contact us at applicants@atarashii.org to connect with our Apprentice Candidate Liaison.

We are excited to be part of your journey and look forward to helping you take this important step toward your future career.

Certification Central was awarded the Registered Apprenticeship Grant by NDDPI. This grant provides scholarships that cover all expenses to candidates who are seeking licensure as a special education teacher. The candidate must be employed as a full-time paraprofessional and already have a bachelor’s degree (any major) or be close to completing a bachelor’s degree.

As a participant in the Apprenticeship Licensure Program at CC, you will incur no costs. The program will cover your tuition (there are no fees), textbooks, licensure testing, and licensure application. You may begin the apprenticeship licensure program at any time.

This program is comprised of a Special Education Core and a Special Education Technician Core. The Special Education Core is comprised of a 15-credit equivalency that provides learners the foundational knowledge of special education. The Special Education Technician Core is a 25-credit equivalency that equips learners with the skills and dispositions to become a successful special education technician. Certification Central is a practice-based program that leverages on-the-job training by adding a lab to each module. This provides learners the opportunity to anchor their learning into an applied educational setting, which can be completed while on-the-job in an educational setting.
