Up to $6,000 per apprentice for Registered Apprenticeship sponsors in telecommunications, broadband, and digital infrastructure. Incentive payments are tied to 90-day retention, related training, and program completion.

Overview

WIA’s Telecom Pay-for-Performance Initiative supports Registered Apprenticeship across telecommunications, broadband, and digital infrastructure. It builds on TIRAP, WIA’s national RAP, and expands support to a broader set of approved telecom occupations.

The total cost of the program is $29,999,142, funded 100% by a U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration cooperative agreement.

Eligibility

You may be eligible if you sponsor a Registered Apprenticeship program, or you are interested in becoming a sponsor; your apprentices work in qualifying telecom, broadband, or digital infrastructure occupations; your program is in good standing; and you plan to grow apprenticeship participation.

Use of funds

Sponsors receive incentive payments of up to $6,000 per apprentice as apprentices hit verified milestones.
