Running reports in WorkHands gives you visibility into your apprentices, supervisors, and overall program. Whether you're preparing for an audit or reviewing progress, reports are built to give you the information you need quickly and clearly.

How Reporting Works in WorkHands

Reports in WorkHands are role-based. What you can access depends on your role in the platform:

  • Apprentices can view reports on their own progress

  • Supervisors can view reports on the apprentices they oversee

  • Administrators can access reports across the entire program

This structure ensures that each user sees the data most relevant to their responsibilities.

How to Run an Apprentice Report

To run a report for a specific apprentice:

Navigate to the apprentice’s profile

Select the Reports section

Choose the report you want to generate

WorkHands automatically generates updated versions of reports every month. If you need more recent data, reports can also be generated on demand.

Report Formats

Most reports in WorkHands are available in multiple formats:

  • CSV for quick, all-in-one views

  • Excel for detailed data analysis

  • PDF for formatted summaries (available for select reports)

These formats allow you to use the data in the way that best fits your workflow.

What’s Included in Reports

Depending on the report, you can access detailed information such as:

  • Time cards

  • Competency assessments

  • Completed coursework

  • Wage progression steps

  • Program activity and notes

For example, the Apprentice Progress Report includes a full history of an apprentice’s activity and is commonly used for audits or compliance reviews.

Running Program-Level Reports

If you're an administrator, you can access reports directly from your dashboard. These reports provide a broader view of your entire program, including:

  • Course completion data

  • Apprentice demographics

  • Notes and activity logs

  • Other program-level insights

These reports reflect the needs of real apprenticeship programs and are continuously updated based on feedback.

Custom Reports and Updates

WorkHands regularly improves reporting based on what programs need. If you don’t see a report that fits your use case, you can request one.

For larger or more complex reports, the system may take additional time to generate results. In those cases, you’ll receive an email notification when your report is ready.

WorkHands reporting is designed to be flexible, detailed, and easy to access. Whether you're reviewing a single apprentice or analyzing your entire program, you can generate reports quickly and export them in the format you need.
