Spotlight: Willow Tree Massage Therapy

Willow Tree Massage Therapy’s Massage Therapy Apprenticeship Program is designed to ease the transition from massage school into long-term, successful professional work. While apprentices come to us with a strong foundation, our focus is on helping them deepen their skills while gaining a clear understanding of the business side of massage. Through mentorship and hands-on learning, we aim to develop massage therapists who feel confident in the quality of their work, the relationships they build with clients, and their ability to build and manage a successful practice of their own. Before they begin hands-on sessions, apprentices are immersed in the day-to-day rhythm of a working practice. They observe treatments (with client permission) and how therapists communicate and personalize care, and they gain insight into scheduling, marketing, payroll, and the financial structure of a massage business. While still in school, apprentices receive one-on-one training to refine technique and build confidence. Once licensed, they begin working with clients of their own and receive thoughtful feedback, allowing them to continue growing and to step into their careers feeling prepared and supported.
