The program combines structured on-the-job training with related technical instruction, allowing apprentices to develop practical field experience while building the technical knowledge required to succeed in today’s construction industry. Apprentices work alongside experienced mentors and supervisors, progressing through clearly defined competencies aligned with industry standards. By investing early in workforce development, Thompson Construction Group is building a sustainable pipeline of skilled craft professionals to support long-term growth and meet industry demand. The program continues to grow since its creation in 2017, with apprentices actively developing their skills across multiple job sites. Our focus has been on maintaining a strong foundation – ensuring consistent, relevant training, accountability, and measurable skill development.
