Apprenticeship Occupation: Construction Craft Laborer, Electrician, Electrician – Heavy Industrial, Line Maintainer, Mechanic – Heavy Industrial, Operating Engineer, Pipe Fitter, and Welder The TEiC Construction Services Registered Apprenticeship Program is designed to develop highly skilled craft professionals. Our Pipefitter program supports Babcock Power’s and TEiC’s industrial and energy projects by preparing apprentices to install, maintain, and troubleshoot complex piping systems critical to safe and reliable operations. Registered with the U.S. Department of Labor, the program combines structured on-the-job training with formal technical instruction, allowing apprentices to build competency through real-world application under the guidance of experienced journeymen. While the Pipefitter program serves as a pivotal part in workforce development strategy, TEiC also maintains registered apprenticeships across multiple occupations, including Electrician – Heavy Industrial & Substation, Mechanic – Heavy Industrial, Heavy Equipment Operator, Construction Craft Laborer, and Lineman, ensuring a comprehensive approach to building talent across our service lines. Apprentices progress through defined work processes, gain exposure to active jobsite conditions, and develop the technical skill, safety awareness, and professional discipline required to perform at a high level. This structured pathway not only supports project execution but reinforces TEiC’s long-term commitment to workforce sustainability and industry advancement.
