Overview
We believe that apprenticeships are the future of work. We see apprenticeships as a powerful pathway for real opportunity and upward mobility. We believe that everyone deserves access to a career, and we are committed to serving Colorado by ensuring that apprenticeship opportunities are accessible to more Coloradans across the state. Apprenticeship Colorado in the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment encompasses both the Colorado State Apprenticeship Agency (SAA) and the Apprenticeship Colorado Expansion (ACE) Team. Together, the SAA and ACE Team advance the high-quality, industry-driven registered apprenticeship system that expands access, strengthens Colorado’s workforce, and supports a strong and sustainable economy.

The process for recognition of the SAA is described in 29 CFR § 29.13 - Recognition of State Apprenticeship Agencies.
