Opportunity Now Regional Talent Summits

The Opportunity Now Talent Summits are focused on regional needs of business and industry partners across Colorado. In collaboration with the Colorado Workforce Development Council (CWDC), industries of focus were selected by regional partners. The Regional Talent Summits Act, enacted by House Bill 24-1365, aims to address workforce shortages by convening state and regional stakeholders to discuss economic and workforce needs, and the programs and resources that might address those regional needs. These industry-led discussions will ultimately result in tactical workforce plans that develop career pathways in specified fields facing regional workforce challenges. Through a competitive process that occurred in Fall 2024, seven Regional Hosts and one Program Facilitator were selected to lead this statewide initiative. The Regional Hosts drive the industry selections, guest list, event date and location, while the Program Facilitator prepares the landscape analysis on each of the selected regional industries, facilitates the seven summits and prepares the seven regional workforce plans.
