Each year, National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) celebrates the powerful impact apprenticeships have on workforce development, career pathways, and economic advancement in the United States.
This year, NAW will take place from November 17-23, 2024, marking the 10th anniversary of this nationwide celebration! With the theme, “10 Years of Engagement, Expansion, and Innovation,” NAW 2024 is set to highlight the incredible progress and partnerships fostered by apprenticeships across industries, communities, and organizations.
NAW is a time for employers, educational institutions, industry groups, labor organizations, and government agencies to come together and showcase how registered apprenticeships help build a skilled, diverse workforce that meets today’s industry needs. Events across the country demonstrate the value of apprenticeship programs, from hands-on training and mentorship to career development and workforce readiness.
For career seekers, NAW offers a chance to explore the benefits of registered apprenticeships — opportunities that can lead to well-paying jobs and valuable skill development. For employers, it’s a platform to promote their commitment to workforce innovation and community engagement. For those employers without experience in apprenticeships, it's a great opportunity to engage with apprenticeship stakeholders and learn how they could help their business.
NAW also serves as a unifying force in the ApprenticeshipUSA ecosystem, which includes partnerships among community organizations, labor unions, industry associations, educational institutions, and the U.S. Department of Labor.
Each day during NAW 2024 will focus on a specific theme, encouraging diverse events and announcements that highlight the breadth of the apprenticeship landscape:
Monday, 11/18
Youth and Young Adult Apprenticeship Day – Celebrating apprenticeship opportunities for young people starting their careers.
Tuesday, 11/19
