As a reminder, National Apprenticeship Week 2024 runs November 17-23. It's the 10th anniversary, and it's packed with events. Whether you're an employer, jobseeker, or current sponsor, there's something here for you.

1. 2024 Georgia Apprenticeship Week Summit


We always like to shout out state-specific events, and the 2024 Georgia Apprenticeship Week Summit is the perfect example. This public, in-person event brings apprentices, employers, and the colleges together to spotlight their success stories in the apprenticeship space.


This is your chance to see how registered apprenticeships are strengthening the state's economy by developing a skilled workforce and creating pathways to good jobs. The Northern Nevada National Apprenticeship Week Celebration deserves a mention here. This public, in-person event is a career fair, celebration, and awards ceremony all in one.


If you're in the area, it's a solid event that brings together key players in the local apprenticeship scene. You'll get to connect with regional programs and state officials, giving you a real look at what's happening in Nevada's apprenticeship world. It's a sure way to get the information you need and expand your network.

3. 2024 Guam Apprenticeship Forum

Let's not forget that NAW extends beyond the mainland. The 2024 Guam Apprenticeship Forum offers an inside look at registered apprenticeships on the island.


After kicking things off with the Governor and Lieutenant Governor signing the NAW proclamation, this conference invites current sponsors to share their stories. It's a chance for Guam employers who might be interested in running their own apprenticeship programs to hear firsthand what it's like.

4. Registered Apprenticeship Showcase 2024 from Apprenticeship Florida

Jobseekers in the Orlando, Florida area definitely should not miss the Registered Apprenticeship Showcase 2024.

Essentially a job fair for apprenticeships, this year's showcase gives you facetime with professionals from more than 15 programs, letting you get a real sense of what's out there. They're also offering hands-on demonstrations so you can get a feel for the work.

If you're just starting out or thinking of making a career change, this showcase can provide the information and inspiration you need to take your next step.

5. Statewide Apprenticeship Employer Council for Apprenticeship Carolina

This event is a private, bi-annual meeting for sponsors serving on the statewide apprenticeship sponsor council in South Carolina. If you're an existing sponsor in the area, you don't want to miss it.


The agenda opens the floor for sponsors to give feedback on apprenticeship activities and spread awareness of statewide resources. There's also going to be time for peer to peer networking, helping existing sponsors expand their knowledge and make some professional connections.

6. Arts2Work Roundtable: Life After Apprenticeship

As I said earlier, apprenticeships aren't just for traditional trades. The creative technology sector is also breaking into the industry.

At the virtual event Arts2Work Roundtable: Life After Apprenticeship, you'll see the visionary design work of ten Arts2Work alumni. They'll also share their stories and experiences as the first Arts2Work Apprentices in the country.

This event is perfect for those interested in becoming apprentices in the digital media space. It's also an ideal place for employers in creative industries to see the real world impacts that becoming a sponsor could have on their workforce.

During Global Apprenticeships: Shaping the Future of Emerging Industries, DOL Apprenticeship Ambassadors will speak to current and prospective sponsors, highlighting how registered apprenticeships are driving success in industries worldwide.

As leaders in both English and Spanish apprenticeship programs, they'll provide real-world examples of how apprenticeships are helping businesses stay competitive globally.
