America’s Beauty Industry Intermediary™ | Apprenticeship Sponsor | Workforce Development Partner

The First Black-Owned Online & Hybrid Cosmetology Apprenticeship System in the United States

Structured apprenticeship training that connects salon-based On-the-Job Training (OJT) with Related Technical Instruction (RTI) — at no cost to apprentices.

Black Girl Beauty School of Careers is America's Beauty Industry Intermediary™, a centralized multi-state apprenticeship sponsor, and workforce development partner dedicated to expanding access to licensed beauty careers through apprenticeship, workforce development, and industry collaboration.

We operate a standardized, federally aligned workforce training system powered by The Amanda Manigault Method™. This exclusive, proprietary training ecosystem is offered through a business-to-business (B2B) model to registered salon, spa, studio, and shop partners, including employers and their workforce participants.

Our program bridges workplace training and structured instruction by combining salon-based On-the-Job Training (OJT) with Related Technical Instruction (RTI) delivered through a proprietary learning system. This allows apprentices to earn while they learn, gaining real-world experience in licensed salon environments while progressing toward state licensure requirements.

We serve aspiring beauty professionals, salons, spas, studios, shops, employers, educators, workforce agencies, and industry partners by connecting workplace learning with structured instructional support systems, tools, and career development opportunities.

Our model integrates:

  • salon-based On-the-Job Training (OJT)

  • structured instructional reinforcement (Related Technical Instruction / RTI)

  • and industry-level coordination through a beauty industry intermediary system

This system is supported by structured quality-assurance processes, assessments, and resource libraries designed to strengthen salon-based training outcomes, improve consistency, and ensure apprentice readiness.

While our programs are open to individuals of all backgrounds, cultures, and hair textures, we specialize in Black hair care, textured hair services, natural hair, braiding, locs, and culturally relevant beauty education that reflects the diverse needs of today’s beauty industry.

Black Girl Beauty School of Careers is built on the belief that salon-based learning, structured instruction, and workforce collaboration create powerful pathways into licensed beauty careers, entrepreneurship, and long-term professional success.
