The State of Michigan's Registered Apprenticeship program is dedicated to fostering skill development and career growth for individuals across the state. With a recent $4 million investment by Governor Gretchen Whitmer, the program aims to connect over 600 Michiganders with essential training opportunities through partnerships with 13 workforce development organizations. Under the leadership of advocates like Rhonda Callahan, the Torch 180 Registered Apprenticeship Program specifically focuses on empowering individuals with disabilities, ensuring inclusivity in the skilled trades. Additionally, programs like the Great Lakes Water Authority's RAP provide extensive training in skilled trades and IT fields, contributing to a robust and skilled workforce ready to meet Michigan's infrastructure needs.
