Southern University and A&M College is proud to introduce Louisiana's first Registered Apprenticeship Teachers program, developed in partnership with the Louisiana Workforce Commission. This innovative initiative aims to tackle the pressing challenges of educator recruitment and retention in the K-12 education sector.
Through this program, we are committed to training and preparing the next generation of teachers, ensuring that our local schools are staffed with dedicated and skilled educators. Southern University has a long-standing history of serving the Baton Rouge community, and this apprenticeship program is a pivotal step towards enhancing the quality of education in our region.
