Penn State New Kensington is proud to offer apprenticeship programs that empower individuals to develop essential skills for various trades. Among the notable programs is the Tool Grinders, Filers, and Sharpeners apprenticeship, which focuses on equipping participants with the expertise needed in the manufacturing and machining sectors.
In addition to traditional trades, Penn State is expanding its apprenticeship offerings with innovative programs like the Animal Science Apprenticeship, set to launch in spring 2023. This initiative aims to prepare individuals for careers in integrated swine farms, large dairy farms, and egg-processing operations, reflecting the organization's commitment to workforce training and community engagement.
