Grooming Apprentice Countryside Grooming - Worland, Powell & Buffalo, Wyoming Full-Time | Paid Apprenticeship | No Experience Required Please Note: Training for this apprenticeship takes place primarily in Worland, Wyoming. Applicants must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to Worland for scheduled training sessions. Do you love dogs and want to build a long-term career instead of just finding another job? Countryside Grooming is looking for a motivated, dependable Grooming Apprentice to join our team. This is a structured, hands-on apprenticeship where you'll learn professional grooming from experienced groomers while working with dogs every day. This is not a grooming school. You'll be paid while you learn and will advance through our apprenticeship program by demonstrating proficiency in each skill before moving on to the next level. What You'll Learn Safe dog handling and restraint Proper bathing using our Close-Open-Close bathing system High-velocity drying techniques Nail trimming Ear cleaning Anal gland expression Deshedding techniques Brushing and coat preparation Basic clipping and scissoring Breed-specific grooming Customer service and pet safety Equipment care and maintenance Professional salon procedures What We Are Looking For Loves dogs and enjoys working with people Positive attitude and willingness to learn Reliable and punctual Able to accept coaching and constructive feedback Strong work ethic Detail-oriented Calm under pressure Team player Able to work safely around animals of all sizes and temperaments Physical Requirements Stand for most of the workday Lift and safely handle dogs up to 100 pounds (with assistance when needed) Work in a wet, fast-paced environment Bend, kneel, and reach frequently Tolerate pet hair, dander, barking, and cleaning chemicals What Makes This Position Different We don't rush people through training.
