Elevate for Humanity Career & Technical Institute is accepting applicants for the Barber Registered Apprenticeship Program.
This apprenticeship provides individuals the opportunity to earn while they learn through a combination of related technical instruction (RTI) and supervised on-the-job learning (OJL) with approved barber shop partners.
Apprentices gain hands-on experience while developing the technical, professional, and customer service skills required for a successful barbering career.
Training includes haircutting, shaving, sanitation, safety, client services, professional communication, business skills, and preparation toward barber licensure requirements.
Participants receive structured training, mentorship, progress tracking, and career support throughout the apprenticeship.
Responsibilities
• Complete required Related Technical Instruction (RTI)
• Participate in supervised on-the-job learning
• Perform barbering services under approved supervision
• Practice sanitation and infection control procedures
• Provide professional customer service
• Maintain attendance and training requirements
• Complete assigned coursework and skills evaluations
• Track apprenticeship hours and competencies

Security Clearance Requirements
Applicants should:

No previous barber experience required. Training is provided through the apprenticeship pathway.
