This initiative will provide training, career counseling, and up to 480 hours of paid work experience, with positions available including customer service representatives, telecommunications technicians, and cable installers.

This program is part of a broader effort to strengthen Guam's digital infrastructure as the island attracts investments in connectivity from global companies. By developing a skilled local workforce, the program aims to ensure that residents can take advantage of emerging job opportunities in a growing industry.

Why this matters for apprenticeships

This initiative highlights the critical role of pre-apprenticeship programs in building a qualified workforce for specific industries. By aligning training with employer needs, such programs not only enhance career pathways for participants but also support economic growth in the community.
