Become an apprentice

Overview

Customized and hands-on training allows apprentices to learn and earn on their way to a rewarding career. From day one, an apprentice is employed and earning wages that will increase as they gain job-specific skills through classroom and on-the-job training. At the end of the apprenticeship, they will have the certifications and credentials necessary to succeed in their field. Use the Minnesota Registered Apprenticeship Application Directory to learn more information about programs that are currently or routinely hiring. We encourage interested applicants to contact program sponsors directly for more information. View a complete list of all registered apprenticeship programs in the United States Department of Labor’s Partner Finder. Apprenticeship Minnesota can provide information about the 100+ occupations that offer apprenticeships in Minnesota and refer you to employers in your area that may have openings. Application processes and requirements vary widely across occupations, as every program has their own entry process. Remember, registered apprenticeship is competitive employment, and hiring is based on how many jobs are available.
