We are looking for an experienced, driven, and fully licensed Elevator Agency Director to partner with ownership and lead our technical operations. Position Summary: As the Licensed Elevator Agency Director, you will be the legal and technical backbone of our company. You will hold responsible charge of our agency's operations, ensuring complete compliance with all municipal and state safety codes. You will oversee all field operations, sign off on permits, supervise installations and modernizations, and lead our safety compliance program. Key Responsiblities: Regulatory Leadership: Act as the licensed Director of record for the agency, taking responsible charge of all permitted work, code compliance, and municipal sign-offs. Permitting & Testing: Prepare, review, and sign off on technical documentation, layout drawings, and permit applications for new installations and modernization projects. Direct and witness required mandated safety tests (e.g., Category 1 and Category 5 tests). Operational Oversight: Provide continuous technical direction and supervision to licensed elevator mechanics, apprentices, and field helpers. Quality Assurance: Conduct field audits and inspections of modernizations and installations to guarantee the highest level of craftsmanship, safety, and reliability. Qualifications: NY LICENSED Elevator Agency Director --DOB OSHA 30 Hour Certification Certifications: Active QEI (Qualified Elevator Inspector)certification is highly preferred. Valid OSHA 30 construction safety certification is required. Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of ASME A17.1 (Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators), local building codes, electrical schematics, and hydraulic/traction systems.
