Metal Fabricator Assistant / Apprentice The Grizzly Difference Windows & Doors Location: Apache Junction, AZ Pay: Starting at $20.00 per hour Job Type: Full-Time Join Our Team The Grizzly Difference Windows & Doors is looking for a motivated individual who wants to learn the skilled trade of metal fabrication and welding. This is an entry-level assistant position that works directly alongside our Master Welder, providing hands-on experience and training in metal fabrication, cutting, drilling, shop operations, and welding preparation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is interested in building a long-term career in the fabrication industry. Responsibilities Measure, mark, and prepare materials for fabrication projects. Operate drills, saws, grinders, and other fabrication equipment safely. Cut and drill steel, aluminum, and other materials according to specifications. Assist the Master Welder with job preparation and material handling. Load, unload, and organize shop materials and inventory. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Perform basic shop maintenance and equipment upkeep. Learn fabrication, welding, layout, and metalworking techniques through hands-on training. Follow all safety procedures and company standards. Qualifications No welding experience required. We are willing to train the right candidate. Ability to read a tape measure accurately. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Dependable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet throughout the day. Reliable transportation to and from our Apache Junction location. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is preferred but not required.
