Stumpf's Outdoor Services is growing and looking to hire ONE Landscape & Lawn Maintenance Apprentice to support our Lawn Maintenance, Landscape Installation, and Drainage divisions. This is a cross-functional position for someone who already has professional lawn mowing and landscaping experience and is comfortable jumping between crews based on daily production needs. You may spend one day mowing residential properties, another assisting with landscape installations, and another helping our French Drain Installation Team. If you enjoy variety, know how to work efficiently outdoors, and can step onto a crew and contribute without needing extensive basic training, this could be a great fit. Top-tier pay that reflects experience and performance 50% employer-paid health insurance Consistent overtime opportunities during peak seasons Full-time position with consistent hours and long-term growth potential Variety in your day-to-day work across multiple divisions Clear opportunities for advancement into Crew Lead and Production roles Strong, team-driven culture that values professionalism, accountability, and quality craftsmanship Opportunity to gain additional experience with commercial mowing equipment, landscaping tools, excavators, skid steers, grading equipment, and residential drainage systems Responsibilities: Support Lawn Maintenance, Landscape Installation, and Drainage crews based on daily staffing and production needs Perform residential lawn maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing Assist with landscaping projects including planting, mulch, sod, grading, bed preparation, and property improvements Assist French Drain Installation Teams with residential drainage projects as needed Help with trenching, pipe installation, stone placement, backfilling, grading, and site restoration Operate commercial lawn care, landscaping, and construction equipment safely and efficiently Load and unload materials, maintain tools and equipment, and help keep trucks and trailers organized Follow company quality standards and crew leader direction across multiple divisions Perform hands-on physical labor while maintaining productivity, attention to detail, and professionalism Adapt quickly to different crews, job sites, and responsibilities throughout the week Must Have: Previous professional lawn mowing experience Previous landscaping experience Valid Driver's License Willingness to obtain a Chauffeur's Endorsement Reliable transportation to and from work Willingness to work with the French Drain Installation Team when needed Qualifications: Experience operating commercial zero-turn mowers, string trimmers, blowers, and other lawn maintenance equipment Experience with landscaping, property maintenance, construction, excavation, drainage, or similar outdoor work Comfortable moving between different crews and responsibilities Strong work ethic and willingness to contribute wherever needed Ability to follow directions and work well with different crew leaders and team members Positive attitude and dependable attendance Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions Experience operating skid steers, excavators, or other construction equipment is a plus Interest in growing into a leadership role over time preferred We're looking for someone who is dependable, experienced, adaptable, and willing to step in wherever the field team needs additional support.
