The Southeast Iowa JATC, sponsored by IBEW Local 13 and the National Electrical Contractors Association, is accepting applications for its registered inside wireman apprenticeship. This is a 4-year earn-while-you-learn program: apprentices are placed with signatory electrical contractors in Southeast Iowa and are paid by the contractor while completing 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and 720 hours of related classroom instruction. Pay increases as apprentices meet both their on-the-job hours and classroom requirements. Graduates complete the program as journeyman inside wiremen. Applications are accepted year-round.
