Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AV Technician Apprentice to assist in our audio/ video installations. This role is responsible for ensuring systems are installed, trimmed, programmed-ready, tested, and client-ready to the highest standards. This position requires strong technical knowledge, good teamwork skills, and the ability to coordinate with project managers, programmers, and clients to deliver a seamless final product. Key Responsibilities Follow instructions from the Final Lead on residential automation projects Install and trim devices including keypads, touchscreens, speakers, displays, cameras, and equipment racks Ensure all equipment is properly labeled, aligned, cleaned, and presentation-ready Perform system verification and troubleshooting prior to programming and commissioning Manage punch-list completion and ensure projects meet company quality standards Maintain clean, organized job sites and represent the company professionally Communicate clearly with clients during final walkthroughs when needed Ensure documentation, as-builts, and system labeling are complete Required Skills & Experience 1+ years experience in AV, electrical, low-voltage, or home automation installation Strong understanding of structured wiring, AV systems, lighting control, and networking fundamentals Experience with system finishing standards and rack/device layout Ability to read plans, elevations, and wiring schematics Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and pride in clean workmanship Ability to lead small teams and work independently Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred (Not Required) Experience with Lutron, Crestron, Control4, or similar systems Rack building and cable management expertise Networking configuration familiarity OSHA certification or equivalent field safety knowledge Job Type: Full-time Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: Audio Video Installation: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Willingness to travel: 100% (Required) Work Location: In person
