This position offers hands-on experience working with a wide range of automotive systems, including diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical systems, and new vehicle up-fitting. Under the guidance of the Fleet Manager, you'll learn to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure our fleet vehicles operate safely and efficiently. This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to build a career in automotive repair while contributing to the safety and reliability of our fleet operations. We are open to hiring those with previous experience in the Automotive Industry though we do not require it. We are willing to train the right person even if you are new to the industry. Duties Assist in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues across various vehicle systems using schematics and diagnostic tools Support the maintenance and repair of diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and powertrain components Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repairs Learn to utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive electrical systems during repairs Aid in the inspection of vehicles for safety compliance and operational efficiency using automotive diagnostics equipment Follow detailed repair procedures based on schematics and technical manuals to ensure accurate and safe work completion Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols Requirements Previous experience or familiarity with dealership or automotive repair industry preferred but NOT required Basic mechanical knowledge with an interest in automotive systems repair including suspension, alignment, air brakes, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and heavy equipment mechanics Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive electrical systems safely and effectively Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail when interpreting schematics and diagnostic data Someone who can work well with others in order to complete various tasks Willingness to learn new skills related to engine repair, transmission work, oil changes, and other mechanical repairs High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in automotive technology are a plus, but not required Must be capable of lifting 50 Pound materials Clean Driving Record Join us as an Apprentice/Fleet Automotive Technician and accelerate your career in automotive repair!
