Job Title: Remanufacture Machinist 1 Reports to Reman Manager Scope: Reman Machinist Job Classifications · Direct · Reviewable Supervisory Responsibilities: · None Experience, Education, Skills & Knowledge Requirements · 1 year as Remanufacture Machinist Apprentice · 1 year Manual Mill and Manual Lathe experience required. · 1 year Sleeve, machine and profile experience. · Ability to read drawings. · Mechanically inclined. · Appropriate math abilities Behavioral Standards/Expectations · Pursues Excellence · Adheres to all Company policies and procedures · Fast learner · Detailed oriented Duties & Responsibilities: · Follows direction of instructor precisely. · Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and references points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining · Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers · Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunction or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required · Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specification · Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data · Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly · Maintains tool history form · Complete daily work log · Perform machine maintenance duties as per maintenance binders as well as do house-keeping · Inspect machined parts using calipers, micrometers, depth gages, height gages and other precision instruments/gages during production run · Other duties as assigned Travel Requirements: · None Working Environment: · Shop Environment Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
