About the Opportunity - Installation Technician Apprentice As an Installation Technician Apprentice, you will work alongside our experienced Installation Technicians to learn the skills necessary to professionally install and replace residential garage doors and openers. You will receive hands-on training while assisting with installations, learning proper installation techniques, becoming familiar with our products and tools, and developing the skills necessary to eventually advance into a full Installation Technician position. No previous garage door experience is required. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the desire to become highly skilled in the trade. Compensation Pay: $25 per hour. Full time. Your Responsibilities As an Apprentice, you will: · Assist experienced Installation Technicians with residential garage door installations · Learn and follow Precision Door Service installation procedures · Safely handle garage doors, openers, tools, and materials · Maintain a clean and organized work environment · Follow all safety procedures and instructions · Help load, unload, and organize materials and equipment · Develop the ability to identify and resolve installation issues · Provide professional and courteous service to customers · Work efficiently as part of an installation team · Demonstrate a willingness to learn and accept coaching · Progress toward independently performing installation work What We're Looking For A successful Installation Technician Apprentice should have: · A strong work ethic and desire to learn · Excellent attendance and reliability · A positive attitude and willingness to take direction · Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools · The ability to work well as part of a team · A commitment to providing exceptional customer service · Pride in workmanship and attention to detail · The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment · The ability to safely lift 50+ pounds · The ability to follow scheduling and attendance requirements · A clean or nearly clean driving record, with a minimum of three years of driving history Work Environment This is a hands-on position that requires physical activity throughout the workday. You will work in residential homes and garages and should be comfortable working in a variety of weather and job-site conditions. The position requires frequent standing, bending, lifting, carrying, climbing, and working with tools and equipment.
