Join Our Team Patrick Allen Companies is seeking a dependable and motivated Glass Technician Apprentice to join our growing team. This entry-level position provides hands-on training in the installation, maintenance, service, and repair of commercial and residential glass systems. Prior glass industry experience is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a professional approach to customer service. Responsibilities Assist experienced technicians with installation, service, and repair of commercial and residential glass systems. Learn to install and replace storefront glass, insulated glass units, windows, mirrors, and related products. Assist with commercial storefronts, aluminum framing, glass doors, and hardware. Learn proper glass handling, measuring, cutting, and installation techniques. Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other equipment under supervision. Assist with loading, unloading, transporting, and organizing glass materials and equipment. Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Read work orders, measurements, and installation instructions with guidance. Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship. Accept feedback and develop technical skills. Qualifications No prior glass industry experience required; construction or mechanical experience is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn a skilled trade. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with experienced technicians. Dependable, punctual, and committed to a strong work ethic. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods. Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and at heights while following safety procedures. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
