Manufacturing & Process Technician Nitride Global Location: Wichita, KS Reports To: Operations Director Position Summary Nitride Global is seeking a hands-on, mechanically inclined Manufacturing & Process Technician to support our facility, equipment, process-development, and production operations. The Technician will also take an active role in keeping our equipment and facility production-ready. This includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and basic repairs, equipment installation and modification, identifying facility needs, and coordinating outside contractors when appropriate. We want someone who takes pride not only in the product being made, but in the equipment and environment used to make it. In addition to the facilities and equipment maintenance duties, the successful candidate for this role shall be willing to learn production processes and procedures, and work closely with engineering and operations to execute production runs and process trials, collect data, troubleshoot problems, and improve the reliability and repeatability of our processes. As new technologies move from development into production, this role will provide the hands-on support needed to turn engineering concepts into practical, robust manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities · Identify facility maintenance needs, address routine issues, and coordinate outside contractors when appropriate. · Support facility infrastructure including compressed air, ventilation, plumbing, electrical, lighting, storage, and work areas. · Identify safety, quality, equipment, and process concerns before they become larger problems. · Assist with equipment installation, calibration, modification, and improvement. · Perform routine equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs. · Operate, set up, and monitor production and laboratory equipment safely and consistently. · Prepare and handle materials, perform inspections and measurements, and maintain accurate production and process records. · Work with engineers to execute process trials, collect data, troubleshoot problems, and implement process improvements. · Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and professional manufacturing and laboratory environment. Qualifications · High school diploma or equivalent; technical education, military training, apprenticeship, or skilled-trade experience preferred. · Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability. · Experience with manufacturing, industrial, laboratory, maintenance, facilities, or technical equipment. · Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and measurement equipment. · Ability to follow procedures, document work accurately, and recognize abnormal equipment or process conditions. · Experience with vacuum systems, furnaces, pumps, compressed gases, electrical systems, controls, pneumatics, plumbing, HVAC, or similar equipment is a plus. · Strong commitment to safety, quality, organization, and continuous improvement.
