Medbio is seeking a motivated Mold Maker Apprentice to join our tooling team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, learning how things are built, and developing a long-term career in a highly skilled trade.
Through our structured Mold Making Apprenticeship Program , you will work alongside experienced Mold Makers while developing the technical skills needed to progress toward becoming a fully qualified Mold Maker.

What You'll Learn and Do
Develop hands-on mold-making skills through structured on-the-job training
Learn the different stages and processes involved in building, maintaining, and repairing molds
Work alongside experienced Mold Makers who will provide coaching and hands-on instruction
Complete the skills and competencies outlined in the Apprenticeship Work Processes
Follow established safety policies, procedures, and shop practices
Assist with loading and unloading molds, components, and materials using a forklift
Deliver and pick up molds, components, and supplies from customers and vendors using company vehicles
Assist with general shop activities, including equipment, machine, building, and grounds maintenance
Maintain accurate training and apprenticeship documentation
Take on increasingly advanced responsibilities as your skills and knowledge develop
What We're Looking For
High school diploma or GED
Interest in pursuing a long-term career in mold making, tooling, or skilled trades
Willingness to participate in and complete the DOL Mold Making Apprenticeship Program
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Dependable with a strong work ethic
Good communication and teamwork skills
Strong organization and attention to detail
Ability to take direction, ask questions, and apply feedback
Previous mold-making experience is not required. We are looking for individuals who are motivated to learn and build a career in the skilled trades.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
Work a standard 40-hour workweek with overtime and weekends as business needs require
Stand for extended periods and safely operate shop equipment
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds safely
Safely load and unload molds and components
Operate company vehicles as required for pickups and deliveries
