Garage Planner - Heavy Equipment Mechanic

As our Garage Planner, you will keep our fleet and heavy equipment running at peak performance. You will play a vital role in our daily operations.
What You Will Do
Diagnose and Repair: Troubleshoot and fix large-scale equipment, including road graders, excavators, dump trucks, loaders, log trucks, and trailers.
Maintain the Fleet: Oversee preventative maintenance and repairs for our fleet of half-ton trucks.
Track Work Orders: Use our digital work order system to log repairs, track parts, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Collaborate Daily: Work closely with supervisors and team members to plan garage tasks and minimize equipment downtime.
Champion Safety: Support onsite safety programs and maintain a secure, clean workspace.
What You Bring
Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience as a Heavy-Duty Service Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
Education: A trade certification, Associate's degree in a technical field, relevant military training (MOS), or a completed apprenticeship.
Technical Skills: Strong welding and metal fabrication skills are highly preferred. Experience with half-ton truck repair is a plus.
Licenses: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. A valid Maine State Inspection Technician license is preferred.
Mindset: A strong dedication to workplace safety, great communication skills, and the ability to adapt in a busy garage environment.
