Machinists Institute Career Accelerator (MICA) is a state-recognized pre-apprenticeship and career training program designed to prepare participants for careers in manufacturing and the skilled trades. Through hands-on training, participants build practical technical skills, earn industry-recognized credentials, and develop the workplace skills needed to successfully transition into employment, Registered Apprenticeship, or continued training.

MICA offers specialized training pathways in machining, welding, and mechanics, allowing participants to explore career options while gaining experience with skills and equipment used in industry. Training also includes essential workplace skills and safety training, including OSHA 10, forklift certification, digital literacy, and mentorship-focused training.
