A local flooring company is seeking a dedicated, independent contractor to assist with local flooring projects. We handle high-end installations, repairs, refinishing, and restoration work. While experienced tradesmen are highly welcome, we are willing to provide hands-on project guidance and training for the right self-motivated individual looking to enter the flooring industry. Contract Responsibilities: Assist with the setup and installation and/or refinishing of hardwood flooring . Prepare job sites by setting up project-specific tools and staging materials. Safely operate tools for sanding, cutting, and installing flooring components. Maintain a clean, organized work environment and adhere to strict safety protocols at all times. Requirements & Compliance: 1099 Status: This is an independent subcontractor position, not a W-2 employment position. You are responsible for your own schedule and self-employment taxes. Insurance Requirement: Candidate must carry or be willing to secure General Liability insurance within 30 days of starting contract assignments. Physical Demands: Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, bending, and kneeling for extended periods. Tools & Transport: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to local job sites. Ownership of basic hand tools is preferred.
