Our company also has a warehouse where repairs can be completed when work cannot be finished on-site. Duties Apprentice Appliance Technician - Job Duties Travel with experienced technicians to property communities throughout the Phoenix Valley to assist with appliance repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance. Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, and other household appliances under the guidance of experienced technicians. Learn to safely use hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and technical diagrams to support service and repair activities. Assist with basic electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and plumbing-related repairs while following established procedures and receiving appropriate supervision. Assist with transporting parts, appliances, tools, and equipment between properties and the company warehouse or shop as needed. Support experienced technicians with repair and maintenance work performed at the company shop. Learn to properly document service activities, parts used, equipment conditions, and work completed. Assist with maintaining accurate parts inventory and organizing tools, equipment, and service materials. Communicate professionally and respectfully with property staff, residents, and team members while assisting with service calls. Follow all company safety procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and instructions provided by senior technicians. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at properties, in service vehicles, and at the company shop. Participate in on-the-job training and develop the technical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and repair techniques necessary to progress toward an independent Appliance Technician role. Qualifications Basic mechanical aptitude and a strong interest in learning appliance repair and maintenance. Willingness to learn troubleshooting techniques, electrical and mechanical systems, and appliance repair procedures under the guidance of experienced technicians. Ability to learn how to use hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and technical diagrams safely and properly. Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and established service practices. Dependable, motivated, and willing to work as part of a team while progressively developing the ability to work independently. Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a company vehicle. Professional communication and customer service skills when interacting with property staff, residents, and team members. Ability to lift, carry, and move appliances, parts, tools, and equipment as required, with proper safety practices. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
