Industrial Maintenance Engineering (Alternate Title: Molding Maintenance Tech I)
Job Description: Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce
precision parts and instruments out of metal. Includes precision instrument
makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

- Has obtained a Manual Machinist C1 for HCC
- Currently enrolled or willing to enroll in HCC's CNC Programmer/Operator C2.

- Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e., extracurricular activities or projects)
- Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis.
Job Description
· Supports repairs, troubleshooting and maintenance (corrective and preventative) on molding machines, systems, molds, presses, and auxiliary equipment.
· Typically supports and trains on mechanical, electrical, metal fabrication, machining, and
machine software controls.
· Supports and conducts routine, periodic, or special technical inspections to determine
repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of high paced
production machines, molds, and equipment.
· Familiar with the proper application of maintenance and Toolroom hand and power tools.
· Often tests,inspects, troubleshoots, and supports repairs to machines and equipment.
· Uses blueprints,drawings, layouts, wiring diagrams, schematics, manuals, and technical
specifications documentation.

Pay Details
1st Period = $20.00
2ndPeriod = $20.50
3rd Period= $21.00

Upon completing the apprenticeship and if offered full-time employment, apprentices will be eligible for benefits.
Tuition
Student(s)/ Apprentice(s) will be responsible for tuition, books, and fees while enrolled in the program.
Workweek Details (ie: Weekends, Holidays, 24-hour Shifts, etc.)
10 Hour days, 4 am-2:30 pm
Sunday- Wednesday or Wednesday- Saturday (This will be determined by the employer.)
