The General Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.Duties Include:Work involves a variety of the following duties:Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motorsUsing plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilingsRepairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toiletsPainting structures and equipmentRepairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalksReplacing damaged paneling and floor tilesHanging doors and installing door locksReplacing broken window panesPerforming general maintenance on equipment and machineryExcluded Are:a.
