Green Mountain Communications is seeking a tower technician to join our climbing crew, which is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of wireless communications equipment across New England. This hands-on role involves working at heights to support the expansion and reliability of critical telecommunications infrastructure.

About Our Registered Apprenticeship – Telecommunications Tower Technician

This apprenticeship program, registered with the U.S. Department of Labor, combines hands-on, on-the-job training with structured classroom instruction, equipping participants with valuable skills, real-world experience, and nationally recognized credentials that support long-term career growth.

As a participant in this program, you'll earn as you learn — receiving pay from day one, along with progressive wage increases as you gain experience. The apprenticeship includes 2,000 on-the-job learning hours and a minimum of 144 hours of related instruction, all provided at no cost to you.

Skills

• Effective communication skills

Qualifications

• Prior experience in civil or general construction

• Experience using hand and power tools

• Experience operating machinery preferred

• Valid driver's license

• Understand and use safe work practices

• Willing & able to work in varying weather conditions

Security Clearance Requirements

Employees must successfully complete background checks including pre-employment drug testing.
