General Laborer / Shop Apprentice Pay $23-$27/hr DOE Schedule Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 40 Hours Per Week Position Overview We are a growing metal manufacturing and fabrication company seeking a motivated General Laborer / Shop Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position supports multiple areas of shop production, including fabrication support, machine operation, material handling, warehouse duties, blueprint reading, and general shop labor . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build a long-term career in manufacturing, metal fabrication, welding, or skilled trades . Training is available for the right candidate. We are willing to teach technical skills to someone who brings a strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities Assist with daily shop production and metal fabrication activities Measure materials accurately using a tape measure and other measuring tools Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, work orders, and production specifications Assist with machine operation and equipment setup Prepare materials, tools, and workstations for production Stage and organize materials to keep projects moving efficiently Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the shop Operate a forklift safely and efficiently Support welders, fabricators, machinists, and production staff as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment Perform general shop labor, cleanup, and housekeeping duties Help ensure jobs are production-ready and completed to quality standards ✅ Required Qualifications Valid driver's license Ability to accurately read a tape measure Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work in a physically active manufacturing environment Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Construction, manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or skilled trade experience Experience operating shop equipment, machinery, or manufacturing tools Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and technical documents Interest in welding, fabrication, machine operation, or manufacturing careers What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Is a self-starter and motivated to learn Takes pride in producing quality work Has strong attention to detail and values precision Shows initiative and looks for ways to support the team Enjoys hands-on work and problem-solving Is dependable, accountable, and team-oriented Wants to learn new skills and grow professionally Is interested in building a long-term career rather than simply finding their next job Ideal Background Candidates with experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply: General Laborer Shop Apprentice Manufacturing Associate Production Worker Fabrication Helper Welder Helper Machine Operator Trainee Metal Fabrication Apprentice Warehouse Associate Material Handler Construction Laborer Skilled Trades Apprentice Why Join Us?
