In a world that relies increasingly on electricity, there's no substitute for excellent training. The Dakotas Electrical Apprenticeship program is designed to ensure that skilled labor is always available in the rapidly growing field of electrical contracting. Our comprehensive training covers a wide range of essential topics, including telecommunications wiring, fiber optics, fire alarms, programmable logic control, power quality, safe job practices, and the National Electrical Code. Apprentices also receive hands-on experience that prepares them for real-world challenges, making them invaluable assets to their employers.
Qualifications
1. Be a minimum of 18 years of age at the time of registration. (May apply at 17)
2. Possess a valid government issued ID.
3. Able to work legally in the United States and provide a valid Social Security Number.
4. High School Graduate or;
5. Successfully completed one full credit of High School Algebra with a passing grade or;
6. Capable of completing all requirements of apprenticeship, including being able & willing to:
Safely perform, or learn to safely perform essential functions of the job
Get to and from work at job sites within the geographical jurisdiction of the Local Union
Attend and successfully complete all related instruction
Understand and follow all DEA Rules and Policies
Climb and work from ladders, scaffolds, poles, and towers of various heights
Push, pull, crawl, crouch, and work in confined spaces, lift 25-50 pounds regularly, and use various hand and power tools
Read, hear, speak, and understand instructions and warnings in English
